Why We Founded Hive Retirement Planning
Tom Mullarkey, CFP®, RICP®, TPCP® — Founder and Financial Planner
Tom Mullarkey is a Certified Financial Planner CFP® and also has designations in Retirement Income Planning (RICP®) and Tax Planning (TPCP®).
Prior to Hive Retirement Planning, Tom spent 24 years working in the Investment Banking division of Credit Suisse. He is also a Senior Director at Shelter Rock Capital Group.
Tom attended Colgate University for his undergraduate degree and Fordham University for his MBA. At Fordham he finished second in his class.
Outside interests include being an avid musician and playing bass guitar in several bands, with performances raising nearly two million dollars for various charities.
Tom has also held many roles in his community including President of Greenwich Village Little League, which serves the families of 850 girls and boys throughout Manhattan.
Hive Retirement got its name as Tommy is also a beekeeper, keeping between six to twelve hives in The Berkshires in Western Massachusetts.
He lives in NYC with his wife and two children.
